We have acheived stunning results for our clients - Relevant1.com has a proven track record of success. For one of our clients we have over 200 Top 1 postions on the major search engines - on each of them! - Even better, most of these were so called double listings, filling both position 1 and 2 on the search engine result pages - that makes 1200 Top 10 positions for one client alone! That is total domination on the search engines in its industry. They got to sell som odd products you might think, no these results were for highly popular products, competing with major global brands.
For relevant search terms and phrases. And these 1200 were all within the top 2 positions. But we cannot promise this kind of results for you. The final results are depending on several factors - among others on your competion and how well they have optimised their web pages. We are confident that we can provide you with results that will please.
Organic SEO or Natural SEO
Organic SEO also called natural search engine optimisation is the activity to improve a websites position in the natural search engine results on Google, Yahoo, MSN/Windows Live, in other words the unpaid listings as opposed to sponsored listings. It is unfortunate that most web-design companies have very little understanding about the technology the search engines are using for evaluation of the content. This will directly have an impact on the web-page position on the search engine result pages (SERPs). Often the visually most stunning pages are very poorly ranked, because search engines that operate automatically acording to acronyms cannot evaluate visual material as well as written text. There are various methods to build up a website and webpages. Some methods provides for instance much easier updating of the pages - unfortunately this causes often problems for the search engine spiders or robots. We know what to do to resolve these problems. Sometimes it is even better to rebuild the webpages completely, using methods that are easy to read for the search engine spiders. Dynamic pages generated "on demand" that are common for large scale websites using content management systems CMS causes also often problems for the spiders. Resulting in that pages never get indexed in the search engine databases. These problems can however usually be resolved.
Many SEO consultancies will tell you that the search engine algorithms changes frequently, resulting in drops of acheived positions. Well the search engines are indeed improved constantly, however pages using methods according to the search engine guidlines are very rarely dropping out from the index, or loosing their positions dramatically. If positions are acheived with methods not approved by or outside the guide-lines the search engines provide, the pages positions are likely to drop. There a number of reasons acheived positions may be lost, a competitor may optimise their pages more efficiently, or provide better content. The owner of the web-site might ad or remove pages, or make changes within the pages a SEO consultant would not recommend. Very small changes can have a huge impact on the position in the SERPs.
Web Copywriting in Finnish
One factor that have a big impact on both the ranking and efficiency of your web-site is the copywriting. While a good traditional marketer may write a good sales letter to you, copywriting for the web requires knowledge of how the search engines evaluates written materia and knowledge of the native language. All optimisation starts with an analytic phase. You need to know which keyword are popular - and how many competitors you have for each of them. These are the words and phrases you target first. In extensive projects you can gradually work out to less used long tail phrases - that bring less traffic but often are highly efficient as they meet very specific searches. As a rule of thumb one can say that short generic phrases are used for collecting information while long search phrases are used when the buyer is ready to purchase a product or service. It is however important to be found both short and long search phrases because during the information collection phase you should already reach your prospects. This also depends of the service or product you are offering. The more expensive purchases the more likely it is that the client will compare and evaluate many options before making his or her final decison of what product or service to purchase - and from what company.
To acheive the best results - a well written page that is a joy to read for the visitors, that simultaneously rank well on the search engines requires special skills. You have to know both the language and how it is used by native speakers and how the search engine works - in additon to normal copywriting skills.
Otimisation over PPC pay-per-click internet advertising? - Research shows that search engine users are clicking on the organic listings 70% of all times (Jupiter Research). Further the higher education searchers have the more likely they are to click on the organic listings.
Search optimisation is a form of internet marketing,
positioning your web site high up on the search engines result
pages SERP's for search queries relevant for your site.
What is SEO?
SEO or Search Engine Optimisation is an activity to ensure that
your company's web pages are found for search queries that are
relevant to your business. This is important in particular for
getting new clients searching online for your products or services
your company offers. Optimisation is usually made not only for
the major search engines Google, Yahoo and MSN but also with your
web sites visitors in mind. Thus there is an emphasis on relevant
content.
How
to get high up on the major search engines Google, Yahoo and MSN?
Maybe you cannot find your site among the top 100, not even among
the first 1000 listed? If your site is new and you cannot find
it, the reason might be that your site has yet to be included
in the search engines indexes. MSN tend to be the quickest finding
your site, followed by Yahoo, and finally Google comes around.
Submitting your sites. Today there are very little
need for submitting your site to the search engines, your site
will eventually be found in by the search engine bots, spiders
or crawlers providing that some other site has a link pointing
to your site. It can take anything from days to months before
your site is found on all search engines. To ensure all your pages
get indexed it is a good idea to provide a site map.
Paid
Inclusion. To speed up this process we can perform a
paid inclusion for Yahoo, you can do this yourself also. However,
keep in mind that it might be wise to let professionals write
the description of your site, as the description will in some
cases be used in the indexing of your site on the search engines.
DMOZ.org the human edited index you can forget, it is a waste
of time, with corrupt reviewers only including pages of their
own. It used to be a good directory, but no one in the industry
with a bit of self respect should encourage you to submit your
site to DMOZ. You can do it if you have loads of time in excess,
and do not expect any results.
PPC
advertising. You can also do some Pay Per Click advertising
on all of the search engines using various programmes. PPC advertising
can however turn out to be very expensive, in particular in very
competitive industries or markets. Further, as soon as you quit
the PPC advertising you are not likely to be found in
any better position on the search engines than prior
to your paid advertising campaign. There are also concerns considering
click-fraud.
Why Natural
Search Engine Optimisation? But
even when your company's site is indexed a site that is not optimised
may only be found when you perform a search query using your company
name. This will not bring your company new customers
or clients, as they have to be familiar with your company's name
in order to find you. For the growth of your business, your company
should be found using both generic searches, as well as more detailed
and focused search queries related to the services or products
you offer. The queries your site should be optimised for should
be chosen with care. It is no point to optimise your site for
queries never used.
Unfortunately it is a fact that the first top 1-2 ranked results
get most of the traffic. If your site is not found on the two
first search engine results pages (SERP's) you are not likely
to receive any traffic at all.
Some SEO companies "optimise" your pages for long and
strange search queries never used. This is a nasty trick used
only to fool you. These SEO companies tend to advertise that they
got a top 1 position on google for a search with an impressive
number of SERP's, sometimes queries with hundred of million pages
are proudly shown. Take a closer look. Think - and ask yourself
- will anyone ever search using this search phrase? The answer
is no. The really nasty ones have also included a typo in their
search query sentences, for example spelling "online"
"on line". These self-claimed SEO expert companies are
simply ripping you off. So, you've been warned! This kind of services
are rubbish and a complete waste of your money.
If
you search on the web you will also find some SEO guys offering
you optimisation for less than 200 pounds. Guess what? Complete
rubbish again. These guys might type in a few keywords in the
keywords meta tag, that might take them perhaps 10 minutes, max.
Results, none. Google does not include the keyword meta tags in
their indexing, because of the extensive misuse of this tag.
How to get on top for relevant
and popular search queries? It is not easy. But it can be achieved,
at Relevant1 we do first analyze most popular key phrase and keywords
in your industry. We pick out the most efficient keywords and
key phrases. Then we analyze your competition for these same keywords
and key phrases and how well their web sites/pages are optimised.
We analyze both on-site and off-site factors.
A huge amount of time is spent
on the analytical work before we change a single line of code
on your site or the copy writing on it. Thrust us. We know what
we do. We use several special tools and software packages in the
analytical phase. Such tools and software's are based on statistics.
Important? Yes indeed. Software packages gives you hints of what
you could do to improve your page ranking. The thing is however
that simple replication is nor inventive or creative. At Relevant1
we are not only highly analytical but also both inventive and
creative problem solvers. This is what makes us stand out from
the rest. We use a method developed by ourselves in the actual
optimisation work. - No, we will not reveal it. I am confident
that we do something in another way others do. Therefore our results.
See below, +200 Top 1 positions on Google for one site alone.
Include Yahoo and MSN and you have around 600 top 1 positions
for this site. I would call this total domination. However, we
cannot guarantee these kind of results to anyone. I cannot even
guarantee you a single top 10 position on one of the search engines,
before looking at your industry and your competition. After a
deep analysis we can tell you what we believe is attainable. We
can suggest different strategies. What we can guarantee is that
we will improve your rankings. So far we have not seen a single
site that could not get some kind of improvements.
How long does it take
to get my site optimised?
The answer is, SEO is an ongoing
activity. It will take some weeks before you start to see improvements,
allow up to 3-4 months on the major search engines Google, Yahoo
and MSN to get the best results. Sometimes we can achieve results
very quickly, especially on Yahoo and MSN /Windows Live. However, it is dependent on how frequently the search
engines are visiting your site, and how often they do update their
index. Very competitive industries with huge amount of sites tend
also to be slower, not only because of competition but because
of the huge amount of pages that the search engines has to go
through to rank the pages.
There are companies
promising that you get included in two days. Yes, you can
get included quickly. If you like to pay for it on some search engines or directories. But you do not get included in the natural
search result listings. Yahoo offers inclusion into their directory
for an annual fee of 299 dollars. The choice is yours. We do in
general not use this service, but it is an all good fair service
that will provide your site with some benefits on Yahoo search.
But perhaps you can find better use for this money. In most cases
you can anyway get a Top 1 listing on Yahoo without it. If you are in a business were just one new client can bring a million worth of business it is clear it might be a very well spent 299 dollars. If you on the other hand are selling something of considerably less value with small profit margins, it might be a better chice to opt out.
Some
SEO companies tend to promise you a listing within the top 10
on the major search engines, this sounds like something fair and
easy to measure. However it is no use for you at all to be number
one for terms or phrases never searched for. Do
not get fooled by companies optimizing your site for keywords
or key phrases never used. Yet another trick some unethical companies
do, is faking the traffic to your site claiming an huge improvement
has been made. These can be achieved with various auto surf programs.
It is however very little if any use of this traffic. Your sales
does not increase, this means your conversion is not improving
despite a higher amount of traffic. Sometimes both these tricks
are used together.Even if you
would be no1 on any of the major search engines for a certain
search query, it does not help if people are not searching using
that query.
You
need real traffic, actual buyers finding you when they
are searching for the products and services your company is offering.
At Relevant1 we have taken the guesswork out of the SEO work .Before
the actual optimisation of your site we do extensive keyword analysis,
not only checking the how many competing sites there is for each
query, but also how well these competing sites are optimised.
Based on this information we can give you a realistic estimation
of what kind of results you can expect to achieve for the keywords
or key phrases in question.
Natural Search Engine Optimisation SEO provides
some clear benefits over PPC internet marketing. While PPC provides
you with quick it can be very expensive, in particular in highly
competitive markets. Another problem is that once you quit your
PPC campaign your company's site is as unlikely to be found on
Google, Yahoo or MSN any higher than before the PPC campaign.
With
Natural Search Engine Optimisation SEO your
ranks will stay high until one the search engines change their
ranking algorithms, or some of your competitors optimise their
site better than yours. - And even if a competitor would
optimise their site yours will not drop to "nowhere to be
found", but the drop may be just one or two steps. If you
sign up for our monitoring service after the initial optimisation
we will monitor and track any changes in your sites ranks to keep
your site listed high.
Can we guarantee a no 1 position on Google for your desired
key phrase? - No, no-one can really promise you that!
Can we guarantee a top 10 position then? The same answer applies,
no one can guarantee you a certain position, because it is dependent
on your competitors web sites, and both the competition and the
number of sites are consistently increasing on the web. We promise
that we will improve your rankings, for relevant
search queries, that are popular. We give you an estimation
of what kind of results you can expect, but there cannot be any
guarantees because of the ever changing internet.
Did you know?
Sites can be design using various kind of programming languages,
the result might look similar on your screen, but not for the
search engine spiders. Some even pretty commonly used techniques
are extremely hard, next to impossible for search engine spiders
to index. There are some work-around's, but the best is to code
your site using search engine friendly programming languages.
In particular "modern" flash pages are extremely poor
considering SEO. Unfortunately most web-design companies have
no idea about SEO, they are visual artists. Do not take me wrong,
I do love art, I am a designer myself! But it is a fact that you
have very little use of your fancy flash page if it is not going
to be found on the search engines! Further even the page structure
used may have an impact on how your site will get indexed. We
are specialised in Natural Search both on-site and off-site issues.
